Happy Easter!
It's been a nice relaxing day, filled with uplifting talks given by the leaders of our church and a yummy Easter dinner (lunch for us, cause hubby had to work this evening). A great way to end our Spring Break.
I mentioned before I left that G-man and I were going on a grand adventure and a grand adventure we had! A friend of mine invited us to go with them to their condo in Park City, Utah to go skiing/snowboarding. We left last Saturday getting in late that night. Sunday was a day of rest and visiting. My wonderful sister came up with her daughter and brought us a delicious dinner and had a great time visiting. Monday we got down to business and headed to Park City Resort to do some skiing and snowboarding. The boys, of course, went snowboarding and the Moms went skiing. Luckily for me, I was able to borrow my niece's ski stuff so I didn't have to rent anything. Again, my sister came up, this time bringing her son who practically lives on the mountain. He's a great snowboarder and knows the mountain really well, so it helped ease my nerves in letting our boys go off on their own.

Here they are before they took off. The boys made up nicknames for each other so from left to right we have Bert, Swe, Sunshine and Ernie.
Here's proof I went skiing. I've only skied about 3 times before this trip and the last time was 20 years ago. This is the first day of skiing. As you can see we had beautiful weather, slightly cloudy but almost warm. Sticking with the Green runs, I did pretty well that day, only falling once.
My sister and her son, Sunshine.
Again, my funny nephew. Like I said, he lives on the mountain, going up to PC about 3-4 times a week. He's a great snowboarder. Here he's showing off his prized winter tan that he proudly wears that shows everyone he's a snowboarder.
Eating lunch at the local pizza joint in PC. The boys loved that you could board right down into the city, walk across the street and eat here at half the price than at the resort. We Mom's did it too one day. It was great fun, however, you have to go down a blue run to get there. A little risky for me. I fell multiple times but finally made it down. Whew! My legs were shaking by the time I got down the hill.
My second day of skiing, the boys third day. It had snowed over night and continued all day. At times it was hard to see where you were going as the snow pelted you in the face. However, it did make for a more cushioned landing with all the falling I did that day. The next day, I found I wasn't sore from all the skiing but from all the falling! Good times, good times.
This is what my friend's car looked like after finishing up our day on the slopes and a shot of the condo before we left for skiing. I think we got about about 12-18 inches that day.
So that's my grand adventure We returned home late Thursday night to get ourselves ready for Easter and General Conference. We had a great time and no one got hurt which was a blessing in itself.
