Eight is Great!
Sweet Pea celebrated her 8th birthday on March 8. She was baptized on March 14. She had a lot to look forward to.
About a month ago I started dreading the idea of having to look for another white dress for Sweet Pea's baptism. I remember having a hard time finding one for Liv that had sleeves and not costing a fortune. I thought for sure she would be so happy to buy a new dress, but when I asked her about getting a new dress she told me that she wanted to wear her sister's baptism dress! Yeah! I was so happy and even happier that it fit!
Evidence that teenagers are capable of working or at least passing the job off to their younger sibling. Here's G-man "teaching" Mr. E to mow the lawn.
Part of Sweet Pea's birthday celebrations was spent at Strikes, our new bowling alley they just opened up in our city. It was very fun. Mr. E beat us all and was the only one of break 100.
Of course, there was breakfast and presents in bed. This year she wanted an egg sandwich.
I made this cute bag for her birthday and it was so easy. It's made out of a place mat. You just sew up the sides, corners in the bottom so it stands nicely, add handles and a little Velcro and ta da, it's done. It's the perfect size for her scriptures. Much easier than the costumes I've been sewing for Liv's up-coming play. I'll post pictures of them when I'm finished.

We'll see how I do tomorrow.

Spring time
The clouds have cleared and the trees are blooming. It's a beautiful day in California. A great day to be outside and watch some T-ball! Our Little A had his first game today, which also happened to be their first practice. It was quite entertaining and wished I had done it for my other boys. For their first game they did a great job but they do need to learn some basic rules of the game. For example, run to first base after hitting the ball! Everytime someone hit ball, all the kids in the field would coming running in to try to get the ball, sometimes even the batter would run out to try to get his own ball. It was like watching a pack of dogs pouncing on a bone or something. It was very fun to watch and we all had a good time. More important, he loved it and he told me himself that he was great at running and hitting.
Now it's time to get ready for Sweet Pea's Birthday tomorrow!

Here's a little video, sorry about the butt shot of the coach. I love the slide into first!

Quick message
I've been a bit lazy with my blogging the month of February. The kids were off track and I guess I was too tired. But I sent them back to school this morning and I'm feeling invigorated. I have a lot to be happy about. It has stopped raining, at least for now. I finally feel like I'm back on track with my running and training is going well. Kids are all good. Getting ready for Sweet Pea's 8th birthday and her baptism. Which is what I have to do this morning. Lots of running around so I leave with you a cute little story to help you stay postive and encouraged with all you do. Read Story.
Have a wonderful day!
