Lake Powell

He's Back! G-man finally returned Wednesday from a week and a half of fun, fun, fun. He spent his time at Lake Powell with his Aunt, Uncle and cousins. He was able to do things that he would never have been able to do with us. It was a great adventure for him and a time to spread his wings. He tried everything that was offered. Wakesurfing, Wakeboard (I now know there's a difference.) Single skiing, some airchair thing, Knee boarding, Jet skiing and probably some other stuff I'm missing. And I'm told that he conquered all he tried. Good Job! Of course, I'll never hear the end of it because now he wants a boat. My advice to you... Get a job and start saving! Maybe by the time your 40 you can get one.

Fun to watch

My nephew is a snowboarder. This last winter he was with his buddies snowboarding and they were approached by a guy that wanted to take some pictures and videos of them to put on this new clothing website called Vooray. You can go here to see the new video that was just posted. He's the third snowboarder you see, wearing a gray coat and has a blue Burton board, he's toward the end of the video, don't blink, you may miss him, I had to watch it twice. Impressive jump though, (I hope he landed it).
His picture is also here. He's the one in the middle. Way to go Steven!

First day of school

My baby started kindergarten!!!What a milestone I've hit. I can't believe this day has arrived. All my children are now in school. I thought it would never get here and now that it is I have mixed emotions about it. Little A was so excited. He's been waiting ever since he turned 5. I may actually get a few things done during the day now, although I have to make it productive since Kindergarten is only 3 1/2 hours long.

Home Sweet Home

We're home and I'm so happy. Our drive was long and exhausting but there is nothing better than walking through your own front door after being gone an extended period of time. We also came home a little lighter because we left G-man with his St. George cousins to spend a week on a house boat down in Lake Powell boating and jet skiing.

We had a great time visiting with friends and family in Utah. Of course, there is never enough time to see everyone and do all the things we wanted, but, even still, we covered a lot of ground. Here are some highlights. Sorry I did this backwards these pictures start with the end of our trip.

Down to St. George. After visiting my sister's family, we traveled down to St. George to visit with Hubby's sister's family. Just in case you're wondering this is not her house, although, she does have a very nice house. This is her neighbor's house, (the house is empty, they're not even living in it right now)who was very kind to come let us swim. I don't think the pictures do it justice, it was absolutely incredible. It was like being at Disneyland or something.
Liv and her Papa worked on this until they got it right!

Inside one of the little "coves".

A walkway inbetween, the hot tub and the "cove"

Hot tub.

Snorklers.

Caught it!

Little A standing on water?

This is the 3rd try. The first time I was chicken, see below, the 2nd time Hubby missed the jump. This time we got it right but notice that Liv jumps up and I just jump down, it was scary.....I'm such a baby.

See the slide in the middle? That hurt going down. Behind the waterfall is the hot tub. Then you can walk all the around through to the "cove" on the right. Those pictures are above with Sweet Pea in them.

Amazing!

I think we picked the hottest day to hike. It was probably about 110, maybe more. It's so hot down there that you don't really sweat because it just evaporates before it has a chance to drip down your skin. I don't think I could live there.
A perfect fit.

Random pictures. Brothers.

More Cousins. We grateful that Hubby's brother and his family just moved from East Coast to Utah. It makes if much more mangable to visit. Up top is our nephew who's attending BYU.

My cute niece and her (boy)friend.

After a long hard game of volleyball, what could be better than making s'mores.

Oquirrh Temple.

Mormor and all her grandkids. Not bad for only have 2 kids herself.

Climbing the Y! Of course it wasn't enough to just climb to the Y, some had to go beyond it, way beyond it. It's hard to see but there are 3 figures on the pointed rock which would be G-man, Mr. E and their cousin. They actually went up to where it says 4TM.

It sure has changed since the last time I did this. We used to just go straight up but now they have a nice worn path with benches and lookout points. They even have bathrooms and water fountains at the bottom. This is the gate to the entrance. It was a great hike and the kids exceeded my expectations. They all did great, not many complaints, although kudos to G-man who gave Little A a piggyback ride most of the way up. (but he had no problem running down)

That little speck is Sweet Pea.

She made it!

Beautiful view.

Even my Mom made it! She was such a trooper.

A day in Salt Lake City. Of course, we had to go visit Hubby's old stomping grounds. We're hoping that by visiting different campus' that it will help inspire our kids to go to college.

This is the Place Heritage Park. This is a very fun place to go visit with your family. There are all these old homes and buildings that belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS or members of the church and they have moved them to this location and have made a heritage park out of it. People volunteer dressed in period clothing and tell you about the buildings and the things that people would do back then. There are crafts the kids can do and pony and train rides. It was very fun. We were there about 3 hours and didn't see everything.

The kids in the old school room.

Pony Rides!

Here's a picture of a typical family home. A home like this could have about 12 people living in it. (Tip of the day: Be grateful for what you have!)

Seven Peaks! A cool waterpark in Provo. The kids has a blast!

Little A. was freezing but was having so much fun he didn't want to stop. The wave pool was his favorite.

Cool cousins posing for the camera.
