Birthday Madness Continues....

Yeah, what in the world???!!! Can you guess?? This is the last picture my camera took before it broke. The culprit? My little, beautiful, stinker son, little A and his finger. I was on the phone, and he grabbed my camera off my desk and the next thing I hear is this weird noise coming from the camera and the screen saying Lens error! Now the lens won't close. It's stuck. I might try to see if it's worth getting fixed but it's not a priority right now. So these may be my last pictures for awhile so enjoy them! So glad it was after Liv's b-day.
Thankfully, we've had our last birthday until August. Whew! I'm wiped out. Although, I think that has more to do with my running than with birthdays! But I'll talk about that later. Of course, we've all been keeping busy and I'm having a hard time finding time to update my blog regularly. Besides birthdays, Liv is in a play, Alice in Wonderland, and next thursday is the opening night. I've finished the costumes and now I'm helping with the stage managing. Which means I have to be at all the tech rehearsals which are like 4 hours or more long. So there hasn't been much time for anything else. When I do have time, I've been lazy and have been reading I just finished reading Jane Eyre. By the way, that's my new favorite book. I watched the movie done by Masterpiece Theater and it was so good I then had to read the book. ( I know, I'm a little slow, I should have read this book in high school but I didn't do much reading then.) There's my plug, if you haven't read or watched the movie, go do that.
Happy Birthday Liv! Another teenager! This was a very exciting birthday for her. She was very anxious to turn 13, but I think that had something to do with me letting her sign up for Facebook!

Her friend had this giant cookie and balloons sent to her first period class! Ok, why didn't I think of that? Chalk that up along with all the other reasons why I'm such a lame mommy!

Breakfast in bed! Her choice... scrambled eggs, toast with ham and cheese on it. Yummy!
One of the things hubby took the older kids to do on Spring Break was to go to the highest point in Sacramento County. (ummm, don't ask me why, he just likes to do weird stuff) It's in this really pretty neighborhood and has a great view, although you can see it's not very high.
Of course, no break is complete without a trip to SF.
This was taken on Little A's b-day when we went bowling.
Lastly, is my running. We're down to the last 2 weeks (tomorrow) until our race. Last Sat. I ran 10 miles. Did great, felt great. My 5 mile run on Monday was ok. But Tuesday, I did 3 and was DY-ING. I felt like I was wearing cement sneakers. All day, again I was just drained. I think, I'm just ready to be done. My body is just exhausted. So I took an extra day off this week to prepare me for tomorrow because we're running 12 miles. We'll see how long it takes me to recover from that one. I know it helps when I eat good but after running those kinds of miles, all I want to do is go to Chick-fil-a and have their yummy chicken tenders, french fries and a chocolate shake!
Well, I think that about sums up the last week or so. Until next time..... Eat well, run hard!

Jay got 11 weeks severance, so we're good for a little while.
